Housebreaking Your Dog
Is your new puppy excreting all over your house, all the time? Is he ruining all your carpets and floorboards? Well lets stop that right now and you can learn How to Housebreak your Dog.
Here are some things you need before you get started:
When you have taken your new puppy home, you should keep watch on him at all times, you should not leave him alone at home for too long unless you are prepared to meet something very unpleasant when you get back.
Have one certain area that you can place some newspaper or a puppy training pad near to a door that he can get out to the garden.
When you have those two things ready, you can get started. You have to keep a close watch on your puppy and if you ever see him to start crouch quickly take him to the door and let him out. He will soon learn that he must go to the door and then he will be let out to go to the toilet. If however, you are not there, always leave either some newspaper or a puppy training pad (I have used these and they are very good and clean).
If you come back and you see some excrement on the floor, do not automatically shout at him and send him out as he will have no idea what he has done wrong. The only time you can tell him off for this is straight after or during it is happening as that is when he realises he has done wrong.
After a few days or a few weeks, your new puppy will probably never do his business in the house and he will know what to do and where to do it!
I hope this helps you and your new puppy!
